Rental Home Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
  • Create meaningful first impressions
  • - Be the welcoming face of Avana, delivering a high-quality, personalized experience to every prospective resident.
  • - Understand each prospect’s lifestyle, needs, and goals, and thoughtfully match them with the right home—not just any available suite.
  • - Ensure community esthetics are up to Avana standards with daily walk arounds issuing WO’s when required or by being proactive in its cleaning.
  • - Ensure Show Suite standards are maintained to Avana’s standards with daily walk inspections issuing WO’s when required or be being proactive in its cleaning.
  • Own the resident journey from first contact to move-in
  • - Manage all inquiries with urgency, care, and professionalism across all channels.
  • - Lead engaging and informative showings that highlight not just the suite, but the community and lifestyle Avana offers.
  • - Guide prospects through the application and leasing process with clarity and confidence.
  • Drive leasing performance and support growth
  • - Actively build and nurture a pipeline of prospective residents through outreach and lead generation.
  • - Collaborate with Marketing to bring listings and campaigns to life, ensuring strong visibility and engagement.
  • - Convert interest into leases while maintaining a resident-first mindset.
  • Be a steward of the Avana experience
  • - Ensure every interaction reflects Avana’s commitment to quality, care, and community.
  • - Seamlessly transition new residents to Property Management, setting the stage for a positive long-term relationship.
  • - Proactively request feedback and reviews to strengthen Avana’s reputation and brand.
  • Stay organized, informed, and data-driven
  • - Track and document all interactions, leads, and leasing activity in Avana’s systems.
  • - Monitor key metrics and contribute to insights that improve performance and resident experience.
  • - Stay informed on market trends and community dynamics to better serve prospective residents.
  • Represent Avana in the community
  • - Participate in local events and initiatives to build awareness and meaningful connections.
  • - Be an ambassador for Avana’s values, culture, and growth in the markets we serve.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer-facing roles
  • Ideally knowledge of the local rental market
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leasing or sales experience is preferred. 
  • Ideally experience working with KPIs or performance metrics
  • Possess great customer service, transparent communication, and strong sales skills. 
  • People-first mindset – You genuinely enjoy connecting with people and creating positive, memorable experiences from first interaction to move-in
  • Strong communicator – Confident, clear, and personable in both written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized and responsive – You manage multiple prospects, follow-ups, and timelines without letting anything slip 
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment – Comfortable with change, growth, and wearing multiple hats as needed
  • Detail-oriented – You ensure applications, documentation, and processes are accurate and complete
  • Work independently with the ability to be a team player. 
  • Computer literacy is required, including proficiency with property management software like Yardi and Rent Cafe, as well as experience using Adobe, Microsoft Office.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract. 
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (i.e. Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen).
